Russian journalist and television presenter Tina Kandelaki has shared a rare photograph of her 26-year-old daughter Melaniya Borodina on her official social media account.
The photograph posted online showed the 26-year-old posing in a stylish outfit consisting of a dark leather jacket, a black top, and a brown mini-skirt.
In the caption attached to the post, Kandelaki expressed her admiration for her daughter, noting that she finds it deeply engaging to hold multi-hour discussions with her on complex topics.
The TV presenter reflected on their conversation, writing that such intellectual curiosity was an atypical trait for a beautiful woman. Addressing her daughter directly in the caption, Kandelaki agreed with her observation that human nature is filled with honor, revenge, and compassion, but emphasized that the ancient poet Homer chooses compassion because it is the only quality that makes a human being better.
Homer is the ancient Greek poet traditionally credited as the author of the Iliad and the Odyssey, two foundational works of Western epic literature exploring moral empathy and human nature.
The image was published on Instagram, the global image and video sharing platform owned by American technology giant Meta Platforms. Meta was officially recognized as an extremist organization and banned within the Russian Federation following a court ruling in 2022.

Tina Kandelaki is one of Russia's most prominent television personalities and media executives. She initially gained widespread national fame as the host of popular broadcast television programs, including the talk show Details and the youth intellect quiz show The Smartest, before transitioning into senior executive roles within major Russian media groups.
Melaniya Borodina is the eldest child from Kandelaki's first marriage to Russian artist and businessman Andrey Kondrakhin. The former couple, who were married for over a decade before their divorce, also have a son named Leontiy.
In addition to her two adult children from her marriage to Kondrakhin, Kandelaki has a younger son named Georgiy. He was born during her second marriage to corporate media manager Vasily Brovko.
