Victoria's Secret will host its 2026 fashion show in Los Angeles on Sunday, October 18, marking the company's third major runway presentation since returning from a nearly six-year hiatus.
The American intimates retailer announced the schedule on Tuesday in a post on its official Instagram account, confirming that the presentation will stream live around the world on YouTube. In its social media post, the company told followers who had no plans for Sunday, October 18 that it had them covered, stating that it had partnered with the video platform to broadcast what it described as the biggest night in fashion entertainment.
Victoria's Secret, which was founded in 1977 in California and grew into America's largest specialty lingerie retailer, built much of its global brand identity around its annual catwalk presentation. Originally launched in 1995, the runway show evolved into a major pop-culture phenomenon broadcast on network television, famous for featuring supermodels styled as Angels wearing elaborate, jewel-encrusted wings alongside performances by top musical acts.
Return to the runway
The 2026 spectacle represents the third mega show produced by the retailer following a prolonged pause in its traditional staging. Victoria's Secret announced a hiatus for the annual event in November 2018 after years of declining television ratings and mounting public criticism regarding its narrow aesthetic standards. The brand re-established the event in October 2024 with a special return show focused on featuring models with a broader diversity of body shapes on the catwalk.
Organisers revealed in mid-July that American supermodel Gigi Hadid, 31, who has served as one of the primary faces of the brand for years, was invited to walk the runway during the 2026 event. Hadid, who first walked for the brand in 2015 and has since become one of the fashion industry's most recognizable figures, is the first major model confirmed for the upcoming presentation. Company organisers have not yet announced additional models or musical performers for the October date.
Lineup history and past controversies
The company's previous catwalk presentation in 2025 featured a large roster of prominent international models. Four Brazilian figures attracted significant attention during that show, led by veteran runway stars Alessandra Ambrósio and Adriana Lima, who both spent years as official Victoria's Secret Angels. They were joined on the runway by debutants Daiana Sodré and Rio de Janeiro influencer Gabriela Moura. The event also featured Bella Hadid, Barbie Ferreira, Alex Consani, Anok Yai, Valentina Sampaio and Jasmine Tookes.
Despite the brand's shift toward body diversity, recent shows have continued to attract public controversy. The 2025 presentation faced negative reaction connected to past remarks made by a former company executive concerning transgender models. The event was also overshadowed by the release of a documentary detailing historical ties between former company leadership and Jeffrey Epstein, the late financier accused of underage sex trafficking.
