Vin Diesel said he broke down in tears after reading the script for Fast & Forever, the next installment in the Fast & Furious franchise, which is set to premiere in March 2028.
The actor posted on Instagram that he had just read the script and called it the best screenplay he had seen in decades, adding that he was still crying.
In May, Diesel told a special screening of Fast & Furious at the Cannes Film Festival that watching the film was very difficult for him because of memories of the late actor Paul Walker. He paused several times during his remarks to compose himself.
Paul Walker’s daughter Meadow also attended the event. Diesel called her a source of strength and said he was confident Paul would have been proud of her.
In December 2025, Diesel announced that a role in the new franchise film had been prepared for Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.
