The star of Colombian music in the world, Carlos Vives, in 2023, celebrates 30 years of music with La Provincia.
With the premiere of “The story”first single from the album “Escalona had never been recorded like this”begins an emotional year full of celebrations and festivities that will evoke the nostalgia of the 90s, but which will also exalt thehe achievements and the path traveled during these 30 years by the greatest figure of Colombian music in the world, Carlos Vives.
In this recording work, Carlos Vives with Egidio Cuadrado and La Provincia make new versions of the compositions of stagger with a touch of modernity, including the discoveries and sound connections that were the protagonists of the Colombian musical revolution.
Based on Rafael Escalona’s notes, they imagined how each song should sound and defined the technical needs and human talent to achieve contemporary versions. For Carlos, it was necessary to redefine the sound of Escalona so that new generations could discover the songs of the maestro.as happened in the 90s with “La Gota FrĂa”.
