“So, I guess I was already well-versed in the filmography of Rodrigo,” continued the executive. “When someone suggested his name for the role, I said, ‘There’s no way we’re going to get the role. Rodrigo. He’s a star, he’s not going to do this!'”
At another point in the conversation, Jeff Davis recalled the day he presented the project to the actor: “I talked to him for zoomwe talked about the character and he told me his hesitations in entering this universe, because he had never done anything in this genre other than lost.
