Carnival festivities have already started all over the country and one of the biggest festivals of this time is concentrated in the north of Argentina: the Carnival of Los Tekis. With a 2022 edition that brought together more than 50,000 people, this year it is also expected that thousands more will pass through Jujuy to enjoy music for the whole family.
The first day started very high with a line up that mixed historic groups of national music with artists from the emerging scene. We are talking, for example, of Damas Gratis and Delio Valdez, who were responsible for providing the cumbia and dance quota at the opening of the festival, and of Bersuit Vergarabat, who completed with classic national rock songs. The youngest undoubtedly appreciated the moment of the presentation of Dillom, the emerging phenomenon of urban music. Previously, Coroico, Dj Treekoo, Los Mellis and Diableros have also performed.
They all took to the more than 20-meter-high stage set up at the Ciudad cultural property, located in the town of San Salvador de Jujuy, where Los Tekis were also among the artists on the first day. The traditional folk ensemble will continue to perform throughout the festival, a benefit for the owners of the house.
In the next few days, other renowned artists will also continue but there will also be different activities for the whole family such as artistic interventions, djs, exclusive spaces, VIPs and a gastronomic patio. In addition, there are 200 meters of bar so that all visitors can quickly access what they need.
