Chase Stokes revealed that, even with failure, audition for Stranger Things was great for his networking
Before becoming successful John B. Routledge in Outer Banksoriginal series Netflix, Chase Stokes auditioned for Stranger Things, one of the biggest series in the history of the platform. The actor revealed how the audition was a total failure.
During an interview with Access Hollywood, stokes revealed how he auditioned for the role of Steve Harringtonwho stayed with Joe Keery, but at the time forgot all the lines and “completely f***ed up the audition.” He also explained how he found himself “regretting every moment” after this somewhat career-traumatic experience.
“Joe Keery is an absolute legend and he is as good as Steve Harrington. I’m super proud of him,” he said in the conversation. Even with this failure, the actor spoke of how grateful he is for his brothers duffercreators of Stranger Thingsand credits the opportunity to audition executives at Netflixwho were also involved in Outer Banks.
