Liaison: Apple’s first French-English series
Announced in June 2021, the series Connection begins Friday, February 24 on Apple TV+. This is the platform’s first French-British co-production. In casting, we find two French actors having brilliantly exported internationally: Eva Green and Vincent Cassel. As comfortable in Molière’s language as Shakespeare’s, the latter juggles the two in this show which takes place simultaneously in France, the United Kingdom and Belgium.
Eva Green plays the role of Alison Rowdy, a Frenchwoman who moved to London and works in cybersecurity for the British government. She is in a relationship with one of her English colleagues and is getting married. But his daily life is turned upside down when she discovers her former lover, Gabriel Delage (Vincent Cassel) is linked to a series of cyber attacks against London. She has no choice but to work with him to prevent Europe from descending into chaos.

But this reunion will also bring the two former lovers back into one dark story related to their past. Their relationship yesterday could therefore endanger an entire continent.
Six episodes aired
If you counted the binge watcher Connection, you will have to be patient. The six episodes, in fact, will not be available simultaneously but every Friday, until March 31st. The mysteries surrounding the relationship between Alison and Gabriel will therefore be clarified only at the end of these six weeks of broadcasting.
With a nice budget From 5 to 10 million per episode, Connection was written and created by Virginie Brac, who previously helmed the second season ofgears. Alongside Eva Green and Vincent Cassel we find, among others, Gérard Lanvin, Peter Mullan, Daniel Francis, Thierry Frémont and Irène Jacob.
On February 12, the entire series team gathered at the Publicis Cinémas in Paris for the world premiere:
