Most of the last ten years of my life have been spent working and thinking about Guardians. I still have a long way to go in visual effects and editing, but it still remains an epochal thing for me.. “

Gunn then added:

It’s easy to explain to others how much I love this cast and staff. But it’s harder to explain how much I love these characters, who I see now as parts of myself and parts of those I love, and walking with them and writing their words is a way of expressing my love. I’ll be working with them again for next year until the release, but the latest take is a reminder of the impermanence of life and love, and how impermanence makes all of that very, very important, it’s a good reason to be grateful for what I have now. “
