Juanes navigates between a couple’s love and the pandemic in “Gris”

Juanes presents “Gris”, his new single, with a deep reflection on love in times of pandemic…

Defined by the Colombian himself as a “very personal and cathartic” song, “Gris” is the second single from a four-year period in which Juanes dedicated himself to creating original material, after the publication from his tribute album and his world tour “Origen”, with which he won the Grammy & Latin Grammy awards.

This new creative cycle, which began with the first single “Amores prohibidos”, combines a general return to the electric guitar with a deep dive in the artist’s acclaimed passion for songwriting, who during the coronavirus pandemic has turned her attention inward to re-examine life, love, family and more of her own emotional complexities and imagination.

Juanes and his producer and close collaborator Sebastian Krys feel that this period of writing and recording represents another new creative high.
