Fatal connection : the reinterpretation of a cult film
In 1988, less than two years later 9 1/2 weeksAdrian Lyne signs another cult film about a troubled relationship with Fatal connection. The film begins with an unexpected love story between Dan Gallagher (Michael Douglas), a New York lawyer who leads an orderly family life, and Alex Forrest (Glenn Close), a sole editor.
While Dan takes this adventure as a detour, Alex takes a liking to him very quickly and adopts an increasingly disturbing behavior. The young woman sinks a spiral of violence involving a poor rabbit, a butcher knife and memorably ending up in a bathroom.
Paramount has decided to pick up the thriller plot, conceived by screenwriter James Dearden, for a series. Alexandra Cunningham (Fortune, dirty John) is in command of this program consists of eight episodeswhich is revealed through a teaser as sensual as it is disturbing.
Lizzy Caplan succeeds Glenn Close
Known for her roles in Clover field, Hen party AND Masters of sex, Lizzy Caplan reprises her role as Alex Forrest. The first images let us glimpse the rapprochement between the two protagonists, the tension felt by Dan as the situation gets out of hand and ends the inevitably awkward encounter between Alex and Beth.
