Apple TV + limited series Abraham Lincoln was elected the 16th president.
Hamish Linklatter (distortNetflix Rooster’s Mass) will play Abraham Lincoln HuntJohn Wilkes in search of a boot after shooting Lincoln. Lily Taylor will play the first lady, Mary Lincoln.
Linklater and Taylor are among seven actors to appear on the series; Brandon Flynn, Betty Gabriel, Will Harrison, Damian O’Hare and Patton Oswalt also appear. They were previously joined by actors Tobias Menzies, Anthony Boyle, Simone Lowe and Matt Walsh.
Hunt – Not to be confused with the Discovery/Spectrum Originals anthology of the same name, described as a true-crime series that explores the shocking events and aftermath of Lincoln’s assassination in 1865. It is based on a book by James Swanson. Hunt: 12 day hunt for Lincoln’s assassin.
Menzies (wreath) He plays Edwin Stanton, Lincoln’s secretary of war and a close friend who nearly goes insane capturing Booth and making plans for Lincoln’s recovery after the Civil War. Boyle (apple airbenders) Play Cockpit. Simon plays Mary Sims, a former slave of Dr. Samuel Moody (in Wall) who was being treated for a broken leg after the killer fled Washington.
Flynn (13 reasons) will play Eddie Stanton Jr., Stanton’s son and a War Department employee. Gabriel (go outside) Starring Elizabeth “Lizzie” Kekli, famous fashion designer and friend of Mary Lincoln. Harrison (Daisy Jones and six) plays Booth’s accomplice, David Herold. Ohare (Pirates of the Caribbean) Plays Thomas Eckert, Stanton’s right-hand man. Oswalt (Connors, Gaslit) plays Detective Lafayette Baker, a War Department investigator.
Monica Beletski (Fargo, Friday night lighting), which has a joint venture with Apple, is its creator and showrunner Hunt. He is executive producer with director Carl Franklin; POV Entertainment’s Lane Esridge; Author Swanson; Michael Rothenberg and Richard Abate of 3 Arts Entertainment; And Frank Smith and Naia Kukukov of Walden Media. Apple Studios produces Lionsgate, POV, 3 Arts and Walden Media.
