Jake Gyllenhaal flexes his muscles
Jake Gyllenhaal had already done this for Rage in the stomachand so he did it again for street house. For this film that will chronicle the return to the octagon of a former fighter turned nightclub bouncer, the actor recently seen in Ambulance by Michael Bay physically transformed to better embody his character. And his surprise appearance at UFC 285 couldn’t be more serious. In fact, for filming purposes, the film crew directed by Doug Liman and Jake Gyllenhaal took advantage of the sporting event to shoot “under real conditions“.
Truer than nature
At 42, Jake Gyllenhaal looks fitter than ever. His appearance at UFC 285 was filmed by both the remake team and the actual viewers in attendance. Several moments have been captured this way: the weigh-in, arrival in the octagon, and even some sequences of a fightfight with which the actor – or rather his character – wins a violent knockout. For these sequences, the actor faces ex-MMA fighter-turned-actor Jay Hieron
Convincing as a boxer in Rage in the stomachWill Jake Gyllenhaal Fight MMA? He has a serious interest, as in this film he would be specifically facing an icon of this discipline and UFC champion, the inimitable Conor McGregor. Indeed, the Irish fighter appears in the cast of street house. A first appearance for the jock, who had missed his first film date since he was supposed to be casting for xXx: reactivatedreleased in 2017. Before his loss to Nate Diaz in 2016 he reshuffled the cards… street house it will therefore be an event, if only for the presence of the UFC star.
The cast of street house it is notably rounded out by Billy Magnussen, Daniela Melchior, Lukas Gage and Beau Knapp. Produced by MGM, the film is expected to be released this year on Prime Video.
