In 2019, director Todd Phillips, known for the trilogy very bad trip, captures the myth of the Joker to tell the origins of Batman’s nemesis. Expected for October 2, 2024 at the cinema, the feature film will also introduce Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn. Joker: madness for two will be part of a new universe called DC Elseworlds. It is an alternate universe to the DC Universe created by James Gunn and Peter Safran when they came to head DC Films. A universe more focused on an adult audience, in which it also fits The Batman.

It’s a direct reference to the comics Batman – Three jokers, released in 2020, which features three famous incarnations of the Joker working together. We can thus find The criminala pragmatic, philosophical and very serious Joker, leader of the group, whose appearance resembles that of the first Batman of the golden age. There is also The clown, who has a penchant for farce and drama, and is behind the murder of Jason Todd. And finally The comedianthe psychopathic and depraved Joker of the modern age.
We don’t know yet if Joker: madness for two will actually adapt the comics by Geoff Johns, but in any case Arthur Fleck will have to deal with other versions of himself, real or simply imagined by his deranged mind.
