This symptom is the first sign of dementia at an early stage: consult your relatives!

Unfortunately, dementia cannot be prevented. But this does not mean that all that remains is to submit to fate and, in the case of a disease, simply observe the evolving symptoms. It is extremely important to catch the disease at an early stage and with the help of therapy to slow down its development as much as possible.

Calculating dementia in the initial stage is not so easy: the disease first disguises itself in symptoms that are often not taken seriously. Recently, neurologist Igor Matsokin spoke in an interview with one of the Russian publications about one of these insidious signs of the disease.

We are talking about the propensity of older people to depression. As a rule, the elderly themselves are not able to correctly assess their condition at this time, and relatives attribute sudden changes in their behavior to age-related age and character characteristics.

This “cynical” symptom screams brain tumor: it’s easy to confuse it with something else!

Such inattention leads to sad results: dementia is detected too late and at a progressive stage. If you notice this symptom in time, consult a doctor and find out the real problem, the development of the disease can be delayed for 8-10 years, which is quite significant in older people.
