Lance Bass was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis five years ago, but avoided the symptoms and blamed the dancer.
“It really started with my shoulders and then my knees,” Bass said. People Newspaper. “And again, for me it was a dancer’s pain signal, so I thought it was perfectly normal to completely ignore the signals.”

Working with biotech company Amgen, bassist and choreographer SJ Bleau created a “fun and educational dance” that helped raise awareness of psoriatic arthritis.
“We wanted to make it a lot easier for people. Both children and adults can enjoy this dance, this is our “head, shoulders, knees and feet” vision, explains Bass in the “Double Take” campaign. “It’s a dance where you recognize the signs and conditions through the nails, knees, thighs and head, and we just want to make sure people get double that. If you have these symptoms, be sure to talk to your doctor about it. ”
