Entertainment Ben Affleck explains why he was ‘grumpy’ with Jennifer Lopez at the 2023 Grammys

Unusual scene between Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez at the 2023 Grammys went viral on the internet

In addition to the defeat of Beyonce in Album of the Year for Harry Stylesanother remarkable moment of the Grammy 2023 that had a lot of repercussions on the internet was a sulky face that ben affleck did with his current wife, Jennifer Lopez. Now, the actor has revealed behind the scenes of this unusual moment.

In the viral video, the presenter of the ceremony, Trevor Noah, spoke alongside the couple. Although, affleck whispered something to Lopez in the frame, but she scolded what her husband had said. As they were without a microphone, the audience could not hear what really happened.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the actor and director was asked if he cared about the memes made from the event. “No. I had fun at Grammy. My wife was going and I thought, ‘Well, there will be good music. It can be fun,'” he stated. Then the artist explained the content of the conversation with Jennifer Lopez.

β€œAt the film awards, it’s speeches and, like, sound mixing webinars. But I thought it would be fun. [Trevor Noah se aproximar] and I thought, ‘Oh, God.’ They were framing us in this scene, but I didn’t know they were rolling,” she recalled.

I leaned over to her and said, ‘As soon as they start rolling, I’m going to slide away from you and have you sitting next to Trevor.’ She replied, ‘You’d better not leave.’

β€œThat’s a husband and wife thing. I mean, part of it is, I’m like, ‘Okay, who is this artist?’ Like, I don’t keep up. My wife, yeah, obviously,” continued ben affleck. The actor commented on how he’s been to events “and got cranky,” “bored” and “drunk,” but that wasn’t the case with the Grammy.

I thought, this is interesting. This raises another question of whether or not it’s wise to acknowledge addiction because there’s a lot of compassion, but there’s still tremendous stigma, which is often quite inhibiting. I think that discourages people from improving their lives.
