Jimmy Kimmel tested positive for COVID-19 again, which led to this Jimmy Kimmel Live! Give the presenter extra time for the ABC Late Night show.
kimmel On twitter on Tuesday, to be filled by Andy Samberg and John Mullen as guest presenters on tonight’s upcoming episode of the Los Angeles-based show. Tuesday’s episode will be repeated.
“I’m such a positive person, I tested positive again,” Kimmel wrote. “Feeling good – The greats John @Mulaney and Andy Samberg @TheLonelyIsland have enthusiastically agreed to host @JimmyKimmelLive tomorrow.”
On May 2, Kimmel announced his initial diagnosis of COVID-19, and Mike Birbiglia called him as a guest host for the rest of the week. Kimmel returned to host her show on May 9.
Kimmel delivered a monologue to previous Disney appearances via Zoom on Tuesday, noting that he recently tested positive again.
“We just want you to spend money with us, and if you don’t, I will die of COVID for no reason,” he said in a statement.
Other late-night presenters who have battled COVID-19 in recent months include Stephen Colbert, Seth Myers, Jimmy Fallon and James Corden. Colbert is back as host late show On Monday, after suffering a relapse of the virus that kept him away for two weeks.
