House of the Dragon: Patience Season 2
House of the Dragon was the biggest television hit of 2022. Shortly after the first season aired, HBO returned to success with The Last of Us. There is no doubt that the American channel will be putting on two major shows for years to come. But we will have to be patient to find out the rest. Seasons 2 of these two series take time to produce, and HBO doesn’t want to go too fast to prioritize quality.
To the latest news, the next episodes ofHouse of the Dragon It could happen in June 2024. Almost two years have passed since the first episode aired (August 21, 2022). Not enough to delight fans, though we suspect it’s for a good cause. On the other hand, another “bad news” fell Expiration. The American media announce it this season 2 will be shorter than the previous one.
Fewer episodes, but three or four seasons are expected
So, we would go from the ten episodes of the first season, at “only” eight. However, it would appear that the original plan was to have a new”arc of ten episodes“. But second Expiration, there would be script rewrites. Not necessarily to reduce the resulting budget of the series, but simply to better build the story.

Which would make it a relatively short series compared to game of Thrones and its eight seasons. HBO would then have a long-term view and no longer think season by season.
