Harry Potter it’s one of those great works of popular culture. If JK Rowling’s novels had already reached a large audience, the films produced by Warner Bros. pushed the famous sorcerer’s apprentice into another dimension. Eight films were released between 2001 and 2011garnering several billion dollars in worldwide box office receipts, first of a series of spin-off films, Fantastic animalsit hasn’t been developed since 2016. What to do with the franchise one of the most profitable in the history of cinema next to Star WarsTHE James Bond or even the Marvel cinematic universe.
But Harry Potter, it’s not just movies. They are also many derivative products, including video games. The last one, Hogwarts Legacy, allows you to travel through the magical universe imagined by JK Rowling by embodying a wizard or a witch within the Hogwarts school. The game was very well received with over 12 million copies sold around the world in a few weeks.
However, for all its qualities, one important element is missing Hogwarts Legacy : Quidditch games. Very clever, Warner will therefore soon offer a game centered around this magical sport.
A Quidditch match is coming!
Warner Bros. Games just broke the news with a first teaser (below). Title Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions and planned on PC and console, it will bea multiplayer game true to the universe’s favorite sportHarry Potter. There is no release date yet, but a lucky few will be able to take part in testing very soon. Next this linkyou can register for participate in the playtests that will take place between April 21 and 23. Please note that registration does not guarantee participation in these tests.
As a reminder, each Quidditch team consists of seven players, including three chasers, two beaters, a seeker, and a goalkeeper. A game can end as soon as the Snitch is caught. There is no doubt that this game proposition will appeal to fans ofHarry Potter.
