Sarah Jessica Parker shares rare wedding footage on 25th anniversary

57-year-old Sarah Jessica Parker and 60-year-old Matthew Broderick are considered one of the strongest couples in Hollywood. Last Thursday, they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. The Sex and the City star posted on her blog an archival black-and-white photo with Broderick, as well as the original 1997 wedding invitation. Surprisingly, it did not hint at marriage.

Last month, Broderick, in an interview with TV presenter Andy Cohen, admitted that he immediately understood that he was ready to marry Sarah Jessica, and also stressed that he incredibly appreciates her humor and wisdom.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick met at a New York party back in 1991. Before meeting the actor, Sarah dated Hollywood’s “bad guy” Robert Downey Jr., as well as the son of the 75th US president, John F. Kennedy Jr. In 1992, Parker and Broderick went on a romantic date for the first time. The couple got married on May 19, 1997 at a synagogue in the Lower East Side, New York. Five years later, the couple had their first child, James Wilkie. Now the couple already has three common children: 19-year-old James and 12-year-old twin daughters Marion and Tabitha.

Sarah Jessica and her husband are currently starring in Neil Simon’s play Plaza. And the other day they both appeared on the cover of The Hollywood Reporter, in an interview with which the actress admitted that she no longer communicates with her Sex and the City co-star Chris Noth.
