Two years after his famous audiovisual project “Pitada”, in which he turned the best of his solo repertoire into live acoustic versions, Emmanuel Horvilleur presents “I am the Disco”.
It is first glimpse of the new new musical project on which he worked and which will be released in 2023.
“Yo soy la disco” is also a true declaration of dancefloor principles, a piece in which the artist dresses in the bright colors of the most classic disco music, showing why since its creation he has been one of the ambassadors of the sounds of African American descent for the Latin world.
This song composed and produced by Emmanuel Horvilleur himself with Cítrico it stands out for its organic sound played by a large group in which the wind arrangements of trombonist Michael B. Nelson stand out, Prince’s longtime collaborator, who together with the Hornheads brings rhythm to the sound palette contagious from the metal part.
The video, directed by Rocío Gastaldi, focuses precisely on dance as the essence of this music, with Horvilleur accompanied by various dancers in an environment governed by a large disco ball, which he accesses in a dream surrounded by retro elements.
