The Duffer Brothers still on Netflix
After directing the horror film Hidden (2015), the Duffer brothers have become famous for having created the series Stranger things. A huge hit on Netflix, this show tells the adventures of a group of young teenagers in Hawkins, in the 80s, who must face the monsters of the world upside down. Instant classicthe show will end soon with his season 5which the Duffer brothers are currently working on.
Passionate about horror and science fiction, the Duffer brothers will soon continue their collaboration with Netflix. In fact, they will participate, like showrunnerto the series The villagesanother fantastic production in the vein of Stranger things.
And what The villages ?
Created by Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews (Dark Crystal: The Age of Resistance), The villages will focus on elderly in a retirement home who will have to face the threat of another world. A tone that obviously calls Stranger things and its world upside down, but senior version.
This series, whose first season will consist of 8 episodesis developed by Netflix AND Flipped images (The Duffer Brothers Company). The villages will be set in a retirement community that calls the New Mexico desert home. An unlikely group of heroes must unite to stop an otherworldly threat from flying… the weather.
