Artist shows behind the scenes of the production of his first solo album ‘D-Day’
Last Friday (21st), along with his first solo album, D-Day, Sucks, from BTS, also released a documentary for Disney +. In the film, he shows behind the scenes of the album, such as his travels in search of new inspirations and the participation of other artists.
The D-Day project is signed by Agust D, an alter-ego of the musician, with a focus on making social criticism, personal reflections and addressing deep issues. Now, on his 30th birthday, last March, the artist begins to ask questions about what lies ahead in his life, in addition to having new concerns, which he shares on the album.
One of the most important tracks on this new album is “Amygdala”. The name comes from the cerebral amygdala, part of the nervous system responsible for processing trauma. The song exposes difficult situations in Suga’s life. While working on this track, her group BTS was filming the reality show In The Scoop, and one scene shows Suga calling his colleague Jimin and venting, “I have huge mood swings whenever I’m working on this song. To work on it, I have to bring up some of my unpleasant memories.”
Suga will be the first member of Korean group and phenomenon BTS to go on a solo world tour. Big Hit Music agency released details on social media. The Agust D Tour will kick off in the US on April 26th, before heading to other Asian countries such as Indonesia, Japan and Thailand.
