Oppenheimer: a new ultra-tense and explosive trailer for the film by Christopher Nolan

Oppenheimer reveals himself a little more

Oppenheimer, the new film by Christopher Nolan, is not part of the selection of the 76th Cannes Film Festival. Reluctantly no doubt, as there would probably be a sensation, but Croisette or no, Oppenheimer should be the bomb – no pun intended – this summer. This is in fact what the new trailer tends to confirm (at the top of the article), long and generous in the exposure of the stakes and of certain characters. It therefore seems to be promised that after Interstellar, Dunkirk AND principleChristopher Nolan hasn’t curtailed his showman ambition despite the biopic genre Oppenheimer fits into, but he should still be fine further and stronger compared to these previous works.

The story of a man and a bomb

In this new trailer we discover the relationship between Robert Oppenheimer (Cillian Murphy) and Leslie Groves (Matt Damon), the military director of the Manhattan Project. We also see, for the first time, Albert Einstein, played by Tom Conti, the great scientific genius who an indirect but important influence on the development of the atomic bomb. Even if we know the outcome of this story, on the epic and somewhat distressing music of Ludwig Goransson, we are still preparing for a race against time. The project will be implemented, bound by the simultaneous development of the Nazis ? Will Robert Oppenheimer keep his head by leading the manufacture of the most important artifact in the history of mankind?

The show and its answers come July 19, 2023 in French cinemas.
