Marni’s Uniqlo collection is officially here – this is the best product to buy

Finally, the first collaboration between Marni and Uniqlo arrives. The Italian fashion house and Japanese retailer announced the LifeWear Spring/Summer 2022 collection in early April, featuring a limited edition of men’s and women’s apparel at Uniqlo online and in select stores today at 9 pm PT.

Priced from $13 to $180, the line features Uniqlo’s minimalist LifeWear staples, voluminous silhouettes, and utilitarian straps covered in Marni’s iconic toy prints like plaid, original hand-painted floral patterns, and elegant stripes.

“Throughout the process, we have always strived to instill in Uniqlo the spirit and integrity that underlie the brand’s vision. “Spirit,” Marni designer Francesco Risso said in a statement.

Highlights from the women’s collection include open neck dresses with prints, pleats and balloon skirts and short sleeves, while men’s essentials include oversized short sleeves with open necks, wide leg pants, two-way utility shorts and flared jackets. The collaboration ends with pocket bags, team shirts, oversized BlockTech jackets, silk pajamas and striped socks.

“Marni means colors and patterns. “It’s always like that,” continued Riso. “For this collection, we wanted to bring our floral prints with a bit of nostalgia and an artistic touch to our gingham checks, transferring the creative energy of the winery into the brush lines.

He continues: “In addition to the colors and prints, which are really very brown, the collection includes some of my signatures: grunge-inspired striped tees, pleated pajama shirts, and exquisite stitching. And vivid and delicate color combinations, with a subtle nostalgia for the 70s.

The Marni collection partners with other Uniqlo designers including JW Anderson, Jil Sander, Ines de la Fressange, Theory and Mame Kuroguchi. The European brand has already collaborated with H&M and has seen Meryl Streep, Common, Chrissy Teigen, Regé-Jean Page and other stars.

If you plan to purchase the collection in person, please note that selected sizes are not available in stores (including XXS, XXL and 3XL) and are limited to one piece per person, both online and in stores. Select stores in California, Florida, Illinois and New York will stock the entire collection, while a limited number of styles will be located in California, New York, New Jersey, Hawaii, Washington and elsewhere.
