Are you afraid of dentists, do not go to preventive examinations and only go to the doctor as a last resort? Not the best strategy, because imperfect hygiene and inattention to the state of the teeth threaten not only with caries, excruciating pain and significant expense, but also with much more serious consequences affecting the whole body as a whole.
Heart attack, twisted spine, hormonal imbalances in the body are serious issues, right? And they can very well arise if you do not pay attention to the condition of the teeth and the oral cavity.
Heart attack and stroke
If the daily oral hygiene, especially the brushing of the teeth, is not carried out with sufficient care, the plaque accumulates rather quickly on the teeth, which gradually turns into tartar. These are hard deposits that a toothbrush can no longer handle and only require professional cleaning.
Often tartar can be seen – it looks like dark growths. But it happens that the stone settles below the gum line, and it is simply impossible to notice it. The microflora of the oral cavity is disturbed, caries and periodontitis are actively developing, bad breath appears, gums bleed, etc. – in general, there is little pleasant.
Tartar compresses the soft tissues around the gums. This violates the overall immunity of the body and further leads to an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. Yes, improper toothbrushing can cause a heart attack – and that’s not a figure of speech! Taiwanese and Swedish scientists have conducted studies that have convincingly proven the link between dental health and cardiovascular health. They found that gum inflammation often leads to heart disease, such as heart attacks and strokes. If the oral hygiene is insufficient or incorrect, the inflammatory areas follow one another, which gradually increases the risk of interruption of the work of the heart. If tartar is present on 20 or more teeth, the risk of heart attack increases by 53%!

Japanese scientists have obtained similar results: they have discovered that hygiene and heart health are linked. People who brushed their teeth less than twice a day were three times more likely to have strokes, heart attacks and other cardiovascular problems.
