Hidden Strike : between madmax AND Fast & Furious DTV version
The story ofHidden Strike takes place in the near future where oil has become a scarce resource. Reason why a group decides to attack a refinery to steal its petrol. But it was without counting on this unlikely duo formed by John Cena and Jackie Chan. Together they will have to save the workers and prevent Pilou Asbæk’s team (game of Thrones) to destroy everything.
As can be seen with the trailer (video in an article), Hidden Strike it seems an action comedy who wants to be explosive like a Mad Max Road Fury crossed to Fast & Furious. The desert atmosphere and the post-apocalyptic style go in this direction, even if clearly the visual quality will not be of the same genre. It is therefore above all the presence of Jackie Chan and John Cena that attracts here.

It’s always a pleasure to see Jackie Chan in his works. The one who will have made us dream thanks to his crazy stunts, in both Hong Kong and American features. And even less glorious films have a certain charm thanks to this extraordinary almost 70-year-old artist. On the other side, John Cena always does the job right when it comes to mixing comedy and action. Hidden Strike so it shouldn’t be a masterpiece. But we will still have the curiosity to take a look.
Directed by Scott Waugh (You need speedIn short Expandable 4), Hidden Strike n/a no release date in France yet. And it wouldn’t be surprising if the film comes to us directly in physical format or on a streaming platform.
