Before cinematic universes became common, the superhero genre hit theaters with the x men movie. Even if it’s over black fenixThe mutants had the potential to join the MCU thanks to Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox. Since then, fans have theorized about who could make the team in a next wonderful movie with a bit of a wait to see The boysKarl Urban replaces Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. Now Urban has responded those fan rumors about him playing X-Man with claws.
Hugh Jackman has been playing Wolverine for over 15 years on the big screen, so there are some pretty big shoes to fill for anyone getting the role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. a number of the actors were nominated by fans including Daniel Radcliffe, Superman actor Henry Cavill , and (you guessed it) Karl Urban. The latter actor was recently asked The Guardian to calls to see it as Logan 2.0, responding with:
Oh really? He is flattering, but you have to think about it rationally. What am I, two years younger than Hugh Jackman? [It is closer to four years.] I mean, if it was a studio trying to pick someone like Wolverine, I’d pick someone who would make three of them. You won’t get three Karl Urban movies unless you want a 65-year-old Wolverine.
Well now you have it. While Karl Urban seems happy to do so also be in conversation As for who might play Wolverine in the MCU, he doesn’t seem to think he has much of a chance of being cast. This is because he is already 49 at the time of writing this story. And as such, he thinks the studio could go with a younger actor who may have a long assignment in Logan’s yellow suit.
While Karl Urban’s comments about being the same age as Hugh Jackman aren’t entirely accurate, it’s easy to see what he thinks of the next Wolverine. Playing an action-packed role as Wolverine takes a lot of physical work, including the risk of injury. So maybe Kevin Feige and the company would pick a younger actor to play the role, hoping for a long time as a character. After all, the X-Men are a fan-favorite group of Marvel heroes.
Mutants were notably absent during the first three stages of the MCU, such as Fox’s x men The franchise continued to release new episodes. But when Disney acquired the studio and its properties, Marvel fans began to wonder when the X-Men would finally join the shared universe. Kevin Feige anticipated it was happening in the future, but his plans were not disclosed to the general public.
The first X-Men crossover moment happened Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness, although it did not include Wolverine and / or Karl Urban. In exchange, Patrick Stewart reprized his role as Professor X during the Illuminati sequence of Sam Raimi’s blockbuster. These seemingly confirmed mutants exist in the MCU, although we haven’t seen them in the main timeline.
The next installment in the MCU is Thor: love and thunder July 8. In the meantime, take a look at the 2022 movie release dates to plan your next movie experience.
