Prince Harry and Megan Markle will join the royal family at the Cathedral to celebrate the Platinum Queen

Members of the British royal family attended a religious service on Friday to mark the 70th anniversary of the enthronement of Queen Elizabeth II, but the Queen herself missed the event due to the difficulty of moving to St Paul’s Cathedral in London at 96 years.

Friday’s service, which was televised by the BBC, also featured the first public appearance of Prince Harry and his wife, the Duchess of Sussex Megan, during a Jubilee visit to Britain. The couple, who renounced his royal duties and moved to California during the years, kept a low profile for the youth and only appeared in photos taken from the windows of the building since the members of the royal family came to the the Queen.

But on Friday they returned to the center. As Harry and Megan walked independently on the temple’s long boat, the people from the church put their necks around their necks to look at them.

The Friday Thanksgiving service was held on the second day of the Queen’s four-day Platinum Jubilee celebration. On Thursday, thousands of royal supporters rejoiced as the Queen joined other senior members of the royal family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to watch 70 British military aircraft fly.

The queen decided not to attend the religious services on Friday during Thursday’s events due to “some discomfort”. It was discovered that she was watching the event on television when Prince Charles was at her side.

The congregation of St. Paul includes members of the royal family, senior politicians, diplomats and more than 400 essential staff, charitable volunteers and members of the military who are invited to recognize their service to the community.

The sermon was delivered by Archbishop Stephen Cottrell of York. Cottrell joined after the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, tested positive for COVID-19. The service will begin and end with the sound of the bell of Paul the Great, the largest church in Britain.
