Technique that Jennifer Lawrence uses to act was based on Christian Bale
There are several ways for an actor or actress to prepare to play a certain role. One of those ways is the “method,” in which the artist gets very immersive and never gets out of character, even with the cameras off – and that leaves Jennifer Lawrence “nervous.”
During an interview with Hot OnesYouTube channel frame First We Feast where artists answer questions while eating food with different types of pepper, Lawrence commented on her issues with actors and actresses who use this technique to never get out of character.
“I would be nervous working with someone who ‘does the method.’ I would have no idea how to talk to them,” said the artist. “Do I need to be in character? That would make me nervous. I haven’t seen another process [de atuação] that made me curious. You don’t know about them all the time.”
The technique that Jennifer Lawrence usa was inspired by the work of a very famous co-star. “I was always very intermittent, until I made Cheating with Christian Bale. I noticed that when the camera started rolling and the crew started gearing up, about 10 seconds before the action, he started gearing up,” he explained.
