The dire state of climate change can lead to inertia when it comes to action: nothing we do can change the catastrophic fate that the headlines constantly warn about.

There is research that says we have less than ten years to prevent global warming from causing irreversible damage to the Earth. Then there are other predictions about famine, water scarcity and increasing global conflict, which will lead directly to carbon footprints in reducing our failure. With the glacial movement of world leaders to formulate a unified plan to tackle climate change, it looks like we are obeying our destiny, and of course, full bottles of water won’t help.

But meaning is not reality and in fact we as individuals still have a significant impact on climate change mitigation, and even more so when we act as a society. And segments of the entertainment industry are taking important steps to rewrite the climate change narrative to give us the positive story we all wanted.
