Seven years after live action ninja turtles 2the famous pizza lovers created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird return to the cinema with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. A uniquely designed animated film directed by Jeff Rowe and Kyler Spearswhich they both worked on The Mitchells versus the machinesthe former as co-writer and co-director and the latter as storyboard artist. In the production and writing of this new adventure by Leonardo (Nicolas Cantu), Raphaël (Brady Noon), Donatello (Micah Abbey) and Michelangelo (Shamon Brown Jr.), we find Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, duo at the origin of SuperGrave, It’s the end OR The interview that kills.
Their tone is heard in the new trailer, where the four teenagers dream of being accepted, so you can enjoy the streets of New York and not just its sewers. For that, the Turtles have a plan. With the help of budding reporter April O’Neil (Ayo Edebiri), the brothers investigate the mysterious and terrifying Superfly (Ice Cube), in hopes of catching this criminal and being seen as heroes by the public. Their outings worry their adoptive father Splinter (Jackie Chan), who hates humans.
John Cena, Rose Byrne, Paul Rudd, Maya Rudolph, Seth Rogen and Giancarlo Esposito round out the original cast. Gérard Darmon, Sofiane Zermani, Audrey Lamy, Jérôme Niel, Alison Wheeler, Monsieur Poulpe, Marc-Antoine Le Bret and Anne-Claire Coudray lend their voices for the French version.
