It’s no secret that Stranger Things makes several references to the works of Stephen King, one of the greatest horror writers in history. In the fourth season of the series, there is an allusion to Carriebook released on April 5, 1974, which had three adaptations for: in 1976, 2002 and 2013.

It is worth remembering how Carrie was the first published novel of king, and has also become one of the author’s best-known stories. The plot of the work revolves around Carrie White, student with telekinetic powers. It wasn’t a surprise to see the series pay homage, as Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) has the same abilities.

The start of the fourth season of Stranger Things shows the protagonist trying to adapt to the move to California with her family Byers. Eleven is constantly bullied at school for angela (Elodie Grace Orkin) and other classmates. The core climaxes when she goes with Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and Will (Noah Schnapp) in the skating rink Rink-O-Mania.

Angela and her friends push Eleven to the middle of the skating rink, where they laugh and throw a drink at her. The scene is very similar to the grand finale of Carriewhere the school bullies throw a bucket of pig’s blood on her head, and the whole school laughs at her.

On twitter, Stephen King showed how he liked the reference, but took the opportunity to leave a constructive criticism. “The new season of Stranger Things is really cool – as good or better than the previous three. Carrie,” he wrote. “Was this the entire season or is this another one that was split into two parts? That’s kind of boring.”

Stranger Things 4: Volume 2 will ‘punch in the heart’ of the audience, says director

The first volume of the fourth season of Stranger Things finally made it to the catalog Netflix last Friday, 27, and shook several fans. However, according to director Shawn Levy (Free Guy: Taking Control, The Adam Project), the public can expect a “punch straight to the heart” in the two chapters of the fourth year of the production created by the brothers duffer.

In an interview given to The Hollywood Reporter, Levywho directed the episodes “The monster and the superhero” and “dear Billy,” revealed conversation with brothers duffer. “[Matt e Ross Duffer] They said, ‘You know what? Answers sound good’. Now is the time. It’s time to explain everything,” he said. “This repositions everything we know about evil into Hawkins and supernatural villains. It certainly serves as a springboard for what comes next.”

Then the director talked about what to expect from the Volume 2 in Stranger Things 4but not its many details: “The final two chapters are as gripping as they are cinematic. Holy shit, they really are a treat for the eyes, but they punch straight to the heart. So I’ll just talk about that.”

And the fifth season?

Netflix announced as the fifth season of Stranger Things will be the last. About this subject, Shawn Levy a possible happy ending. “It will be bittersweet for us to shoot and for the audience to see, but we hope it will also be deeply satisfying, because we all know, as fans of other shows, that few feelings are so bad when an ending disappoints,” he said.

There’s not the slightest chance that we’ll give anything less than a satisfying ending to our loyal fans.
