In an interview with QA, Crawford reveals that he sometimes receives hate from Aquaman fans on social media.
Occasionally on Instagram I get a, ‘Fuck you fish face. Do you think it’s funny to make fun of Aquaman?’ I’m like, perfect. That’s exactly what I want.
While many actors feel that receiving hateful messages is an unfortunate experience, Crawford is clearly taking this as a sign that he is playing his character effectively.
