illustrations by Rita Leemade by Guilherme Francini, will be exhibited at the largest station on the São Paulo Metro, Sé. The exposure “Rita Lee as grandma Ritinha by Guilherme Francini”will stay in Cultural Space of Sé Station from Thursday (13), world rock day. The exhibition includes 20 works of art, including unpublished illustrations, taken from children’s books “Amiga Ursa”, “Dr. Alex”, “Dr. Alex and the Phantom” and “Dr. Alex and grandma Ritinha: an adventure in space”, all signed by the queen, illustrated by Francini and edited by Globinho.
Born in São Paulo and graduated in design, Guilherme Francini started dedicating herself to drawing for good in 2019, at the invitation of her own Rita Lee: “Our partnership started in an unusual way. Without ever having seen a drawing of mine, Rita called me: ‘You are going to illustrate my book’. Having never done a professional illustration, I accepted the challenge. I owe my career as an illustrator to Ritawhom I call the fairy godmother.”
