Since Kourtney Kardashian created her lifestyle brand Poosh in 2019, she has been compared to Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop. Created more than a decade earlier, the Oscar-winning actor’s platform promotes well-being and positivity, just like the Kardashian site of the same name. Paltrow recently answered a question if she was “crazy” about the rival brand with some kind words for the reality star, and now we know there was a bigger story behind her insistence that both companies can exist in the same space.
Gwyneth Paltrow didn’t mince words when she called the trend of pitting women against each other “patriarchal nonsense,” and it turned out that famous CEOs doubled that sentiment by proving to be stronger together. It was revealed in episode 8 of The Kardashians“Never Go Against Family” (available to owners Hulu subscriptions ) that Kourtney Kardashian and the actress worked on a collaboration for their brands. Kardashian said:
When I was dating Poosh, people loved confronting us and making us look like enemies and like it was their territory. So I like the idea of doing something together to show that there is room for everyone. For me it is a very positive message.
In the episode, the reality star highlighted Gwyneth Paltrow’s equally healthy lifestyle and how their two brands working together on a project made a lot of sense. So what was the result? The famous candle smells like my Goop vagina – you know Paltrow ate during the Super Bowl commercial . It was adapted to incorporate Poosh and the launch of the candle coincided with the revelation of the joint project in The Kardashians episode:

Kourtney Kardashian said she finds Gwyneth Paltrow a source of inspiration, saying the actress has “purpose and positivity,” and unsurprisingly this particular candle is the object she chose to focus on. Last year Travis Barker showed off a candle made especially for the couple (who certainly doesn’t hold back talk about your sex life ) by Goop titled This Smells Like Orgasm by Kourtney. Kim Kardashian was also the recipient of an original Goop – It smells like Kim’s orgasm – after her split from Kanye West.
The Goop x Poosh collaboration, This Smells Like My Pooshy, which retails for $ 75 but quickly sold out at poop Yes goppo (opens in a new tab) websites after its release, is described as “playful and sexy, with notes of black gardenia, geranium, green pepper, timur berry, honeysuckle, ylang-ylang and oak moss”.
Gwyneth Paltrow told Kourtney Kardashian she wanted to work together to show that there is enough room for everyone in the world of wellness and that women don’t need to compete:
I think this is a great opportunity for two women in the wellness space to come together and scold the idea that there is not enough space for everyone in the way they want to be, present and contribute to the world of wellness.
