Marcelo Villa presents “Marcelo Villa and People From Ice Land”, his new work.
Composed and recorded by Marcelo himself with and Ezequiel Araujo, (Pity Álvarez, El Otro Yo, Leo García, Wom, among others), it consists of four songs.
“With this material made by Ezequiel Araujo, I felt it was something different from what I had done. I decided to launch it on the occasion of the International Water Day, a little so that the concept of the album is, in addition to bringing new music, a reflection on the way we behaves with the environment”, explained the artist.
The album cover and video material is by Mike “Beeple” Winkelmann, an American digital artist, graphic designer and animator widely known for using various mediums to create comedic and spooky works that make political and social commentary while using pop culture figures as the references.
The official presentation of “Marcelo Villa and People From Ice Land” will take place on Saturday, July 22 from 8 p.m., in the Pueyrredón room (Av. Santa Fe 4560, CABA). And tickets are already on sale.
