The story continues on Netflix
We’ve known since 2018 that Netflix plans to relaunch The world of Narnia with some New movies. And it looks like she’s finally moving on! Indeed, Greta Gerwig, the very popular director Barbie has been chosen to direct at least two feature films in the saga.
A choice that may seem surprising given that the director is not used to the genre. She recently she was interviewed about this future projectt, and she confided that she was not exactly serene about the idea of tackling this monument of children’s literature:
I haven’t even really started to figure it out, but I’m afraid, which seems like a good place to start. I think when I’m scared, it’s always a good sign. Maybe when I stop being afraid, it will be a sign not to. No, I’m really terrified of it. It is extraordinary. And it’s exciting.
Greta Gerwig said during a Total Film podcast (via Entertainment Weekly).
At the moment, we don’t know yet the details about these future films The world of Narnia.
