Deadpool 3: the return of the enfant terrible
After two films released under the banner of 20th Century Fox, the future of trashy superhero Deadpool played by Ryan Reynolds remained uncertain following the Disney takeover. Finally, the irreverent Wade Wilson will return in a third opus signed Shawn Levy, and will be, for the first time, integrated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

A golden opportunity for Disney to bring back other favorite characters from viewers, starting with Wolverine, always camped by Hugh Jackman. There will also be Elektra, played by Jennifer Garner. If we don’t yet know what the movie will be about, then it’s a safe bet Deadpool 3 give pride of place to the multiverse.

A program that sows doubts
As the ongoing strike disrupts Hollywood and has resulted in a halt in filming, it appears the film is no longer included in Disney’s plans for the first half of 2024. Indeed, although it was originally slated for an early May release 2024, when submitting its financial results, Disney has revealed the slate of films scheduled for next year through June, but Deadpool 3 curiously disappeared from this list.
While Disney has yet to officially announce a postponement, it seems likely fans of the superhero will need to be patient. Wade Wilson’s return may take longer than expected.
Deadpool 3 is highly anticipated by fans of the Marvel superhero, especially since his future since Disney’s takeover of Fox has remained unclear. Indeed, many had difficulty imagining how such a figure, violent and insolent, could have entered the company’s plans. But according to preliminary information, Disney hasn’t made any concessions: Deadpool will always be just as violent, and the film should be R-rated.
