Production is in progress. No bloodAngelina Jolie’s fifth feature film as director and her first as part of a new deal with TV giant Fremantle are now in the works, with Salma Hayek Pino and Damian Beecher joining the cast.
Filmed in the Puglia and Basilicata regions of southern Italy, the project is also produced and written by Jolie, based on a screenplay adapted from the bestselling novel by Italian author Alessandro Barrico (Silk) And tells the story of a girl who seeks revenge and healing during a conflict.
Produced by Fremantle, Jolie Productions, The Apartment Pictures (Lorenzo Mieli) and De Maio Entertainment (Lorenzo De Maio), the Fremantle Company, the film will be distributed worldwide by Fremantle.
“I am honored to be here in Italy to transfer this special material for filming, and Alessandro Barrico has commissioned an adaptation of his book, with unique poetry and emotions, an approach to war and questions. “This speaks to what we look for after an injury, a loss or an injustice,” Jolie said.
No bloodFirst contacted by Jolie in 2017, she was officially announced in March as part of a three-year international contract she signed with Fremantle, which includes films, documentaries and series.
