“You just don’t know how much this has meant… I will thank you all personally… and if you didn’t know… GOD IS GOOD… all day, every day,” he concluded. Foxx in the post.

Jamie Foxx apologizes for anti-Semitic remarks

Jamie Foxx apologized to the Jewish community after being accused of anti-Semitism. The actor made a post on his Instagram saying: “They killed this guy named Jesus… what do you think they are going to do to you???!” He ended the post with the hashtag #fakefriends [amigos falsos] and #fakelove [amor falso].

In some comments, users have interpreted “them” as the Jewish people, and historically anti-Semitism has been linked to the belief that Jews are responsible for the death of Jesus (via CNN).

The Oscar-winning actor then deleted the post last Saturday, the 5th, and apologized to “everyone who was offended by my post.”

Now I know my choice of words offended and I’m sorry. That was never my intention. To clarify, I was betrayed by a fake friend and that’s what I meant by ‘them’ and nothing else. I only have love in my heart for everyone. I love and support the Jewish community. My deepest apologies to anyone who was offended.
