This year 2023 marks the 30th anniversary of the “Clásicos de la Provincia”, the record production in which Carlos Vives created a new sound from his roots, projecting the vallenato internationally. The album became an immortal hit, as soon as its first single “La Gota Fría” was released.
For celebrate these three decades of this sound that changed the history of Colombian popCarlos Vives decides to associate for the first time with another of the most important Colombian artists of his generation: Juanes.
This historic collaboration is the first preview of Vives’ upcoming recording material, which will include new releases of well-known vallenatos.
“The one we present with Juanes from ‘Las Mujeres’ demonstrates the power of our music and the connection of minstrels like Carlos Huertas to our contemporary music. And of course, for me, it’s a dream come true to record with Juanes,” Vives said.
The theme is accompanied by a video in which they present more than 25 amazing womenof different nationalities and with different professions and trades, emphasizing that with their work, women really move the world.
