Blue Beetlethe film marked the big screen debut of the DC superhero played by Xolo Maridueña (“Cobra Kai”) directed by Angel Manuel Sotomade its debut in Italian cinemas.

As we already reported, the film has two post-credits scenes. The first scene, positioned mid-credits, takes place in Blue Beetle’s secret base. Here we discover that the first Blue Beetle, ie Ted Cord, co-star Jenny’s father and founder of Kord Industries is still alive. We also discover that a new threat is approaching our heroes. This first scene is also very interesting in view of the series Booster Gold. The second scene, positioned at the end of the credits, instead shows us a passage from the cartoon where Jaime’s uncle distracts the guards within the film.

Synopsis:

Recent college graduate Jaime Reyes returns home full of aspirations for his future but soon discovers that it is not quite how he left it. As he pursues his purpose in the world, fate causes Jaime to unexpectedly find himself in the possession of an ancient relic of alien biotechnology: the Beetle. Jamie is suddenly chosen by the Scarab as its symbiotic host and given an incredible weapon with extraordinary abilities and unpredictable powers. His fate will change forever and Jamie will transform into the Super Hero Blue Beetle.

Ángel Manuel Soto (“Charm City Kings,” “The Farm”) directs from a screenplay by Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer (“Miss Bala”), based on the DC characters. John Rickard and Zev Foreman are producers and Walter Hamada, Galen Vaisman and Garrett Grant are executive producers. The creative team consists of cinematographer Pawel Pogorzelski, production designer John Billington and editor Craig Alpert. The team also includes Academy Award-nominated costume designer Mayes C. Rubeo, visual effects supervisor Kelvin McIlwain and composer Bobby Krlic.
