Jay-Z helped rapper 21 Savage out of US immigration custody

In 2019, 21 Savage was charged with residing in the United States without a proper visa.

the rapper She’yaa Bin Abraham-Josephknown worldwide as 21 Savagerevealed how Jay-Z and Meek Mill helped him out of the custody of ICE (US Immigration and Customs) in 2019, according to information from the NME. At the time, the musician was detained on the grounds that he was a “citizen of the United Kingdom” who “is illegally present in the United States.”

A statement from representatives in 2019 confirmed how Savage was born in London, and his visa expired in 2006 – and the rapper “wouldn’t have been at fault”. He applied for a visa in 2017, when he discovered he needed it because ICE was aware of the home address of the owner of “Bank Account” all the time.

With the arrest, several other rappers were against it, such as Cardi B, pusha T and offset. Furthermore, Jay-Z published a statement and defined “the arrest and detention of 21 Savage an absolute farce. Your visa petition has been pending for four years. In addition to being a successful artist, 21 deserves to be reunited with his kids right away. #Free21Savage

During an interview with Math Hoffa, 21 Savage spoke on the matter. “They arrested me because they said I had a criminal conviction, but the criminal conviction was dropped,” she revealed. “I called Meek while in prison and said, ‘Bro, I just got arrested.’ he called Jay-ZandJay-Z put a lawyer on my case. He played a role in getting me out. He wouldn’t do this f*** to just anyone.”

The rapper went on to say how he didn’t get tense or nervous about the situation, because he knew how “I had done nothing wrong,” and just wanted to get out of prison: “I’ve lived in the States since I was 7, where the hell do you want me to go ?”

When you rap about certain shit, you’re automatically a target.
