Bernard Tapie as seen by Netflix
Bernard Tapie was an emblematic figure in France. Sometimes businessman, sometimes politician, he has been the head of important groups, in particular as the owner of Adidas or the football club Marseille Olympics. But this personality was also at the center of numerous financial and sporting scandals.
In particular there was the VA-OM affair the attempted bribery that led to the imprisonment of Bernard Tapie for six months in 1997. Or the Phocéa case and his conviction for tax evasion. Not to mention the Crédit Lyonnais case which has been going on since 1992, until Bernard Tapie’s death in 2021.
Bernard Tapie is therefore a figure who divides and netflix he decided to take an interest in it a series of biopics simply titled rug. It is a creation of Olivier Demangel and Tristan Séguéla. For the occasion, the latter finds again Laurent Lafittewhich he had previously directed 16 or so (2013).
New images revealed
Laurent Lafitte then slipped into the skin of Bernard Tapie. We had already been able to see, in the first images, his impressive incarnation. The physical resemblance is there, but it is above all the attitude of the businessman that we find, even more so in the latest trailer revealed by Netflix (video in an article).
A video that brings life different periods of the life of the former leader of the OM, the joy of victories, but also the confusion related to corruption allegations. Added to this is the political life, the life as a boss and an attitude admired by some and criticized by others.
Series rug it looks exciting. In addition to Laurent Lafitte, Joséphine Japy, Patrick d’Assumçao, Sarah Suco, Antoine Reinartz and Fabrice Luchini are present in the casting. The show will be available from September 13th on the streaming platform.
