Ladj Ly returns to Montfermeil
With his first feature film Unfortunatewinner of 4 Césars including that of Best film in 2020, Ladj Ly has established himself as a prominent screenwriter and director. A founding member of the Kourtrajmé collective and school, he became the leading figure of a cinema very anchored to a social reality. Without, however, abandoning a great artistic ambition.
In thematic and aesthetic continuity with Unfortunatethus presents his new film, entitled Building 5. A first trailer has been revealed (video at the top of the article).

With her favorite actor Alexis Manenti, nervous leader of a BAC team Unfortunate It’s inside Building 5 young mayor of Montfermeil who is committed to redeveloping the neighborhood of the city of Bosquets, Ladj Ly this time wants to tell the relationship of a population with its neighborhood, its home, its direct universe.
