Deauville 2023: nice surprises despite the absence of American stars

The strike that has been shaking Hollywood for several weeks has logically had an impact on the 49th edition of the Deauville American Film Festival. Although Natalie Portman, Jude Law and Peter Dinklage were absent due to these events, this unmissable event was held from September 1-10, 2023. Highlights of the festival included a tribute to Jerry Schatzberg, a conversation with Carole Bouquet or even the presentation of the New Hollywood Award to Emilia Clarke.

As for the films, viewers were in for some nice surprises. In the competition, our favourites They are going to Aristotle and Dante discover the secrets of the universe, Blood for dust, Fremont AND Past lives.
