Oh mama! : ABBA on the big screen
Who would have thought? Oh mama! (2008)the adaptation of the musical that is inspired by the songs from the ABBA group, would it have become such a phenomenon? Directed by Phyllida Lloyd on a “small” budget of $52 million, the film grossed more than $50 million 600 million at the global box office. An impressive success that we owe to the freshness offered by the feature film, achieved largely by the performers involved.
As Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Stellan Skarsgård. It is with pleasure that we watch them sing and dance to the famous ABBA songs. Which also makes the story a bit secondary.
