Hayao Miyazaki’s The Boy and the Heron will be screened at the Roma Film Fest

After dominating the Japanese box office from its first weekend with 11.3 million dollars and beating the previous records of Studio Ghibli, The boy and the stork (Kimi-tachi wa dō ikiru ka), new film by the master Hayao Miyazaki will have its national premiere on Rome Film Fest.

Desperate to see his mother again, Mahito, a 12-year-old boy, ventures into a kingdom inhabited by the living and the dead. An amazing place where death ends and life finds a new beginning. A story about the mystery of life and creation, in tribute to friendship, right from the mind of master Hayao Miyazaki.

Ten years after his last feature film The wind is getting stronger and after having generations of viewers with masterpieces like Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, my neighbor Totoro, Red pig, The enchanted city, Pony on the cliff and much more, Miyazaki returns with a film that has already won the hearts of the public and critics who were lucky enough to see it in Japan.
